Different Angle 42 Pvt. Ltd. operates the website and the “Datsme” app which provides the Core Service offered by our organization. This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service(s).

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Datsme is extremely concerned about the protection of your personal data and respect for your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Policy (along with our terms of service) is to inform you on the way we process the personal data you share with us and that we collect when you use the Application and Services. Please read this document carefully to better understand how we process your personal data.

1. Information/Data Collected by Datsme:

DATSME collects and processes personal data on you when you use the DATSME application. For a better support while using our Service, we require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, and postal address. It may be information you share with us directly, or data we collect automatically.

  1. Overview of the data collected:
    • Identification data
    • Data relating to your activity on the application
    • Technical data of the cell phone
    • Email address or telephone number (only mandatory for registration)
    • A psychological questionnaire to enhance your experience and your satisfaction (Data related to your inclinations and interests)
    • Geographical position (to help you search for nearby people)
    • Search preferences - people who share similar interests
    • Text messages and images (sent and received)
    • Data relating to reports and requests sent to DATSME customer service
    • Professional career and education
    • Personal interests
    • About (Short Personal Description)

    When you use our Services,you share information with us, some of which may be used to identify you. When you communicate this information, you accept thatsome of the data will be visible to the other Usersof the Application, and therefore made public on the Application.

    DATSME cannot be held liable for data published on its platform and disclosed by a Member. However,information shared in the psychological questionnaire will not be visible or accessible by other Users; such information is labelled as Private and shall only be used for identification and enhancing experience.

    DATSME also collects and processes data relating to your registration and data relating to your interactions with DATSME

  2. Data collected while registration:
  3. This is the basic datarequired for you to registerand access our Services.

    This data is collected by DATSME using different methods depending on the type of registration you choose.

    Data can be collected when you sign-up via Facebook, or Google, via Gmail, to minimize the formalities (using the procedure you choose at registration). When you click on “Facebook”, you agree to let Facebook share this data with us.

    In addition,you can register using a cell phone numberand, if this is the case, your data will besent to DATSME directly by you.

    This data relates to your identity.

  4. Data collected for identification:
  5. The following data is collected whether the Member uses Facebook or Google or registers using a cell phone number:

    • Your Name (Public);
    • Your Date of Birth (private);
    • Your Age (Public); Your age (as deduced from your date of birth) will be visible to other DATSME users;
    • Your Gender (Private);
    • Professional career and Education (Public): profession or studies;
    • Your Photographs (Public); At least, one of your public profile photos from either from Facebook or self-upload. You then have the option of removing your photos and/or adding other photos to your Account from your Facebook account or smartphone. Via a cell phone number: you must add a photo. You then have the option of removing this photo and/or adding other photos to your Account, other photos from your smartphone.
    • Your responses to questionnaire (Private); For calculating your compatibility with other users and showing you relevant users. You may choose to skip the questionnaire to get a gist of the services but you won’t be able to use the full functionality without answering the questions

    The following data is collected depending on the type of registration:

    • via Facebook or Google: your name (Public).
    • via a cell phone number: your telephone number (Private).

    Depending on your type of registration, this information is mandatory for the supply of the Services. If you do not share it, DATSME will not be able to supply the Services offered in the Application and you will not be able to create an Account.

  6. Data collected for enhancing the user's experience:
  7. You may add additional information to improve your Profile. This information is optional, shared at your own discretion, and is your sole responsibility. You can add this information directly to your Profile on the Application and/or via Instagram by syncing your Account with Instagram. This data is as follows:

    • Personal interests (Public):personal preferences, leisure activities, musical preferences, hobbies; Moreover, if you so wish, you can also answer the questions on your lifestyle (personality traits, sports, travel, etc.). Such information shall be visible on your profile as Tags and will allow the users to search you on the basis of your Personal Interests
    • Email address or telephone number when this data is not mandatory for registration (Private): You are not obliged to provide your email address when registering via a cell phone and you are not obliged to supply your telephone number or email address when registering via Facebook or Gmail. However, you may choose to share this information with DATSME in order to facilitate communications with us.
    • Profile Description(Public): if you would like to, you can share additional information about you in the space provided for this purpose. This information will be visible to DATSME Users.

    Your description is a free text area,DATSME does not encourage Users to share data that can be perceived as sensitive with other Users, or with DATSME through the Application.

    If a Member decides to share such information on his/her profile regardless, it is deemed to have been “clearly made public”by the Member who shared it. In such case, our organization shall not be held responsible under Section 43A (or any other section) of the I.T. Amendment Act for the information shared by the user.

  8. Data shared with DATSME while contacting customer support:
  9. Data relating to reports and requests sent to the DATSME customer service (Private). This includes Date and time of the report, nature and reason for the report, data relating to the reported user.

    This data will be collected by DATSME when you contact our customer or support services, report an issue with our services, or participate in promotional activities, games, competitions or surveys, when you share your experience of our services, give testimonies, or answer one of our questionnaires, or ask for help from our customer service, report a problem or another user, etc. Suchinformation is required to handle reports or answer your requests. Without this information, the report or your request cannot be handled. This type of informationmust also be processedwhen a report has been made against you.

    DATSME has a legal obligation to collect reports from its Users brought to its knowledge regarding contents or behaviour likely to infringe our Terms of Service.

  10. Data collected during user activity (automatic):
  11. Activity Data (Private)includes registration date, last connection, interactions with Users and third-party accounts, number of transactions, etc.

    When you access our Services and use the Application and its features, information on the way you use them is collected and processed.DATSME is obliged to collect such informationwhen you use the Services. Without this data DATSME cannot supply the Services linked to the DATSME application.

    More specifically, this includes your registration date, in-app activity, the type and number of interactions with other Users (such as Tag searches, friend requests, response to notifications, Hi-5’s, etc.), with the third-party accounts connected to your Account (such as Instagram), or the number of transactions performed (purchasing DATSME premium subscription(s)).

  12. Data relating to user’s displaced Geographical Position (Automatic)
  13. Location is the central tenet of the Datsme app. Users need to be visible on the map for the other users to find them. The main value and purpose of DATSME is to allow Users to find compatible people nearby who share similar interests to facilitate virtual and/or real-life meet ups.

    Your geographical location is only collected with yourconsent.In fact, you will be asked to authorize the collection and processing of your location data to allow DASTME to identify your location with other Users who agreed to be geolocated.

    DATSME can,if you expressly agree, access your position, approximately or more precisely depending on the technology you use. The location shall only be fetched from your smartphone once you use the MAP Mode. This location is not accurate or precise and is displaced to an untraceable amount. The purpose of these locations is for you to explore other people and offers nearby while exploring one of the features of the DATSME application.

    To ensure the privacy of the Users, Datsme has two major features:

    1. The Users are grouped into clusters (as far as possible) ensuring that the location of one specific User is not exposed.
    2. In case the User is at an isolated location and cannot be grouped into a cluster, an additional safety feature has been provided i.e. the limiting of the zoom level of the map. This is done so that any other User may not be able to decipher the exact location of the User easily.

    By using the Datsme app, you are giving us your consent to use your exact location. You are free towithdraw your consent at any timeand disable the geo-location option on your smartphone. If you choose to do so, your location shall no longer updated and you will not be able to see people who are currently in your vicinity.

    In this case, you will only appear in the Search mode and Main View (Also referred to as Datsme View) of other Users. Equally, you will no longer be able to see the profiles of Users on the Map mode and will only be able to use the DATSME view.

    You can also ask that your profile be hidden from the Map but such a privilege is reserved for the premium Users of DATSME application

  14. Data relating to Text messages and images sent/received
  15. Messages are sent and stored on DATSME’s servers, to provide the Service to allow Users to have a conversation with the friends.Messages and images are strictly privateand only implicate the Users involved.

    DATSME’s authorized managers do not exercise any rights to view these conversations. These Messages are not transmitted or communicated to third parties except in cases of judicial requests, and/or in compliance with the applicable legislative or regulatory provisions. Moreover, Messages are strictly private and are not accessible to other Users who are not involved in the conversation, nor to any third party.

    DATSME does not encourage Users to share data that can be perceived as sensitive over messages. Regardless, if aMember decides to share such information, it is deemed to have been “clearly made public”by the Member who shared it. In such case, our organization shall not be held responsible under Section 43A (or any other section) of the I.T. Amendment Act for the information shared by the user.

  16. Search preferences - people who share similar interests (Private)
  17. The Application lets you search for people on the basis of preferences, interests, hobbies and other similar TAGS offered in your profile. You may also search people on the basis of their nearby vicinity in the Location Search Mode.

    Moreover, DATSME allows its users to search on the basis of all the relevant information made Public by the users themselves in the form of TAGS which are displayed on their profile. You can choose to modify/update these TAGS in the Application by visiting your profile.

    Such data collected is completely Private and is used to enhance the personal experience of the user by providing them better search results and showing quick suggestions

  18. Technical data of the cell phone:

The technical data collected is completely private and includes IP, mobile ID, application version, advertisement ID, etc. We collect information from the devices and equipment you use to access our Services, including server logs, which may contain information such as IP addresses, version of the application, mobile model, mobile ID, language used, operating system, application crashes, and advertisement ID.

  20. Data related to transactions:
  21. DATSME does not collect or process any banking data. Google’s Play Store have opted to refrain from sending certain types data to mobile applications, which includes any banking and financial information. This data is collected and processed solely by the above platforms, and DATSME does not have the option of changing this payment method. The only information exchanged between DATSME and Google’s Play Store is technical data that does not allow us to identify you (for example, a transaction number), and is used to validate transactions.

2. Utilization of Data:

  2. We improve and optimize the services of DATSME, of the knowledge of its Users and the manner of using the Services by:

    • Statistical studies.
    • Satisfaction survey.
    • Analyses of the use of the Application and Services by Users
    • Compatible subsequent use

    This processing for statistical purposes is compatible with the following purposes; the provision of services and features; the provision of relevant offers and content; data security and combating illegal activities.

  3. Personal Data Protection:
  4. We also utilize your data to detect and/or prevent breaches of the security of the Services by identifying and analysing fraudulent behaviour. The data shared by you may also be used in preventing and/or combating illegal or unauthorized activities (breaches of the terms of service) and complying with legal requirements by:

    • Analysing and processing reports of fraudulent/undesirable behaviour
    • Managing undesirable behaviour and warning, suspending, blocking or deleting the User’s Account
    • Managing requests to exercise User's rights over their data
3. Legal Bindings and Obligations:

  2. The data collected by DATSME is required to make sure the Application is running smoothly and to supply the Services, which it is contractually obliged to provide to Users under the service contract biding the two parties (Terms of Service).

  3. Legal Obligation & Legitimate interest:

The above-mentioned processing is based on DATSME’s legitimate interest in guaranteeing the security of its application and the data it processes and legal obligation, as a data host, to remove illegal content as soon as we become aware of it and on its obligation to respond to requests to exercise Users’ rights over their personal data.

    • By Detecting or preventing fraudulent activities:
    • By Automated analysis of profile data, application activity and photos added by Users to detect fake profiles, fraudulent behaviour or behaviour that breaches the Terms of Service.

    You can object to this use at any time by contacting us (see section 12 ‘Contact Us’). However, DATSME may continue to implement the processing if it justifies legitimate and compelling reasons.

4. Cookies:

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Our website ( uses these “cookies” to collect information and to improve our Service. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service

5. Data Sharing:

Only certain DATSME employees from customer services and authorized managers process Users’ personal data for the purposes described above. These employees and authorized managers only have access to the data necessary to perform their duties.

We also allow Authenticated and reliable service providers and partners, who may access and/or process Users’ personal data, in compliance with the Privacy Policy, and ensure the security and privacy of the Users’ personal data. These service providers help us operate and improve our Services, including:

  • data hosting;
  • the detection and prevention of fraud and swindling;
  • studies, analyses and statistics;
  • the use of the Application and/or the proper functioning of the Application;
  • the provision of necessary assistance to the Users;
  • management of reports;
  • marketing and advertising to address relevant offers, messages and content to DATSME users and non-users.

As part of the marketing and advertising operations outside the application intended for non-users, your data will be transmitted to third-party sites, social networks and third-party applications unless you object.

We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

In addition, at the request of state bodies, in particular the judicial authorities, and in order to comply with any judicial or legal request, DATSME may transmit the personal data of its Users.

Lastly, we may be required to share your data for the purposes of corporate operations, which include, but are not limited to, a re-structuring, a change in control of the company, a merger, an acquisition, a transfer, or a termination of the company.

6. Transfer of Personal Data outside India:

The personal data of Users processed by the Application is hosted in India. However, the personal data of Users are transferred to DATSME sub-contractors located outside India, for User support, report management, advertising and marketing.

Companies to whom we transfer personal data located in the United States adhere to the EU-US Privacy Shield. However, transfers of data outside the Indian Jurisdiction may also be made to countries in relation to which no adequate decision has been taken by the Indian Government on the protection of personal data. DATSME guarantees that transfers are made under such conditions ensure the confidentiality and security of the data and provide an adequate level of protection compliant with regulations. These transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses of the Indian jurisdiction.

7. Data Storage:

DATSME will store the User’s data for as long as required in order for the Member to use his/her Account, namely:

For the length of the User’s registration, plus one year. After one year of inactivity on an Account, the Account will be deleted and the User’s data will be retained for another year, before being permanently destroyed. An account is considered inactive when the Application of the User has not established contact with DATSME’s servers (including due to deactivation of the geolocation process); and the User has not used the Application.

In any event, the Account of a Premium User is not considered inactive. Furthermore, please note that in accordance with its status as a hosting provider, DATSME has a legal obligation to retain some of its Users’ personal data for a period of one year.

When the User deletes his/her Account or requests its deletion from Customer Service, it will be deleted from the Application. However, the User’s data will be kept in a separate archive for one year before being permanently destroyed, in order to enable DATSME to comply with its obligation to keep it as host.

The email address of the User will be kept for commercial canvassing purposes for one year after a period of one year of inactivity of the Account. If the User deletes his Account, the email address will not be used for commercial canvassing purposes.

DATSME undertakes to make every effort and to invest all means at its disposal to guarantee that the stored data is kept as secure as possible. However, it is the User’s responsibility to take appropriate measures to protect his/her data.

8. Personal Data of Minors:

DATSME shall not collect data from Minors. Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 18. In the case we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. Should a User lie about his/her date of birth, and particularly if he/she fraudulently claims to be an adult, the parents of the minor in question should inform DATSME of this fact by sending an e-mail to one of the contacts mentioned in the section “Contact Us”, requesting the data to be deleted. DATSME commits to deleting all data on the minor in question as soon as possible.

9. Links to Other Sites:

Our Application may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy:

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
